New Program Brings New Opportunities

August 31, 2020

Missouri 4-H brings with it a world of opportunities to explore from your backyard to across the globe. Whether you are interested in learning about horses, arts & crafts, shooting sports, or trying your hand a curing a bacon, 4-H provides opportunities to have fun while meeting new people, learning new things, and exploring new places.

4-H projects such a curing bacon can include joining the county meats judging team, competing at the state contest, and potentially competing at the national contest. Horsemanship project members can increase their riding skills and explore the horse industry through the Missouri 4-H Equine tour that travels the country and sometimes travels to Canada.

4-H is open to all youth who are 5-18 years old by December 31, 2020. Adults are also welcome to join us in a role to serve as a volunteer to support a project, event, and/or club. Whatever your interests may be, 4-H has an avenue for youth (and adults) to explore alongside a supportive network.

If you would like to learn more, keep an eye out for a 4-H member or parent wearing a 4‑H shirt around the community and ask them about their experience. You can also contact the Extension Office in Ralls County 573-985-3911 or email rallsco@missouri.edu.
