Wieczorek family selected as Rall's Missouri Farm Family

Jason and Kalya Wieczorek and family of Perry were among the Missouri families honored at the 69th annual Missouri Farm Family Day on August 17 during the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia. 
The Wieczorek family was chosen as the Ralls County Missouri Farm Family by University of Missouri Extension and the Ralls County Farm Bureau. The family includes Jaelyn Wieczorek. 
Each year, the Missouri State Fair designates a day to celebrate farm families from across the state who are engaged in production agriculture, demonstrate strong community involvement, and participate in outreach and youth development programs such as 4-H or FFA. 
The Wieczorek family operates a 250 acre first generation family farm while baling 60000+ small squares annually renting out local grass fields in the county. Jasons Hay Operation first started in 2007 as a simple FFA SAE project at the local Mark Twain High School - after marring his wife Kayla in 2014 they continued to focus on growing Grass & Alfalfa. In 2019 they started adding to their cow calf operation when Kayla left her financial career to help farm full time. What started out as a few rented acres for personal use in 2007, Jason & Kayla have built a standing legacy in the small square industry. Giving back to their community & being involved in both youth programs like FFA & 4H are part of their success in the Agriculture Market. Turning their own story into helping others in memory of their son, Keaton while continuing to raise their daughter Jaelyn for the next generation. 
Farm Family Day is made possible through the support of the Missouri Farm Bureau, the Missouri Department of Agriculture, the Missouri State Fair Commissioners, the University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources, and MU Extension.
