Elsen and Lehenbauer Nominated and Received the SOARed Award

July 10, 2025

Big shoutout to the University of Missouri Extension Office - our June 2025 SOAR Award winner! They've been teaming up with our HUB group over the past few months to bring some amazing health and wellness programs to the community - think fun exercise classes, nutrition tips, and even awesome prizes! These programs are all about building healthy habits and creating better lives, and we're so grateful for their partnership.
Thanks for helping our communities SOAR!
MU Extension staff members Carrie Elsen and Amanda Lehenbauer were nominated and received the SOARed award from Learning Opportunities Quality Works (LOQW) in Monroe City for their programming partnership. The SOARed award is generally given to employees that go above and beyond their job duties while continuing to demonstrate and uphold LOQW values and ethics when working with their clients. Carrie and Amanda are the first to receive this award outside of the agency.
Learning Opportunities Quality Works provides community life engagement services and employment services for persons with disabilities in NE Missouri.
