New London Park Days 2025
Rain didn’t stop lots of fun, laughs, praise, shopping, and support during New London Park Days, June 6 & 7, 2025. A park full of craft booths was taking over the park area all weekend! The Show Me Amusements Carnival provided rides and concession stands. The Kids Zone and Petting Zoo were enjoyed by all ages and featured a variety of animals from Thorni Ridge Exotics to pet and interact with.
On Saturday, the 5K Run/Walk and Baby Contest for ages newborn to 36 months started the day off. The annual parade was a huge hit. Mike Moore entertained everyone, as did We Stand United Puppetry & Dance Team. The Cornhole Tournament was held.
New this year is the Miss New London Pageant on the Park Days Main Stage. The age divisions were Tiny Miss (4-6 yr old); Little Miss (7-9 years old); Junior Miss (10-12 years old); and Miss (13-18 years old). The phases of competition were On-Stage Self-Intro, On-Stage Question, and Evening Gown. Judging was based on state presence, grace, poise, public speaking, skills, and personality.
Saturday afternoon and evening ended the weekend events with Bingo, a Pie Auction, and a Mr. Legs Contest.
The entertainment was a great line-up. Friday, the Glendale Riders, and Clover performed. On Saturday, Justice and Breakdown Shakedown performed on the Main Stage.
Lots of food vendors: Lickin’s BBQ; New London Fire Department; Tubby’s; New London Lion’s Club; Annie’s Lemon Shake Ups; The Junction; Big Gun Kettle Corn; The Munchbox; Hillbilly Root Beer; The Ice Cream Depot; Pure Ambition Coffee Co; Zippy’s Walking Taco’s; and Smooth As Ice.
