Resurfacing operations scheduled to begin on Route O in Ralls County

June 25, 2020

HANNIBAL – Weather permitting, the week of July 6, crews will start work on resurfacing Route O in Ralls County U.S. from Route 61 to the end of state maintenance with plans for completion by late July.

“Traffic will be reduced to one lane and motorists will be directed through the work zone with the use of a pilot car,” explained Missouri Department of Transportation Area Engineer, Brian Untiedt. “This route carries a considerable volume of local traffic. We ask that motorists please be attentive in work zones for their safety and the safety of highway workers,” he added. Signs will be in place to alert motorists, as schedule changes may occur based on weather.

This contract was awarded earlier this year to Emery Sapp and Sons of Columbia, Missouri for two projects in the amount of $997,461 for overlay resurfacing which also included the resurfacing of Missouri Route 168 in Marion County from Route JJ to U.S. Route 61 in Hannibal.

Work on the project located on Missouri Route 168 in Marion County is currently in progress and scheduled to be completed by mid-July.
