College and Career Fair Has Nice Turnout
Madison C-3 College and Career Fair was held on November 25, 2024. They invited local schools, Middle Grove, and Holliday's seventh through twelfth graders to attend.
There were 28 tables of different career paths one could take in the future which included: Indian Hills, MACC, Capital Academy, Vocational Rehabilitation, Army National Guard, Emery Sapp and Sons, Truman University, LOQW Inc, Missouri Department of Conservation, State Tech, Madison Fire Department, Missouri Welding Institute, Williams Woods University, North Central of Missouri, Ranken Technical, Lincoln University, Moberly Waste Water Plant, Missouri Department of Corrections, Army Active Duty, Missouri S&T, USDA, MODOT, Alliant Bank, LiUna, University of Missouri, Air Force, and Grand River Welding. Monroe-Ralls had a table as well.
Students were expected to go around to every table, ask questions, take notes, and get the signatures of each table representative. After the fair, the students had questions to answer in their booklet regarding their experiences.
Robin Gregg, Monroe-Ralls Publisher, experienced her first career fair as an employer. "I loved talking to each student. I found two students, a junior and a senior, who are very interested in journalism. They had terrific questions and will be in contact with me."
