Eastern Missouri Crappie Club Tournament
By Brian Sanders
It’s almost that time for our annual benefit tournament. Mark your calendars and make sure to join us on this special day.
Cost of the tournament is $50 per angler, and teams consist of one male and one female angler. Multiple teams may fish out of one boat, but you must keep your fish separate, no combining of fish. This is an open tournament, so you do NOT need to be a member to fish.
Signups will be Friday July 30th from 1pm to 7pm at the Paris Fairgrounds pavilion. Any and all auction donations are greatly appreciated and may be dropped off on Friday as well. We have a free T-shirt for the first 100 ladies that sign-up, so make sure you get there early.
The tournament will be held from 6am to noon on Saturday July 31st. You must be in the weigh-In line at the Paris Fairgrounds pavilion no later then 1pm Saturday. Weigh your best 7 crappie and a prize will be given for the largest crappie also. This is a flighted tournament so bring those crappie in to be weighed regardless of what you catch.
There will be a live auction directly after the weigh-in, and raffle baskets available as well. 100 percent of the proceeds of the auction and raffles goes to support this great cause.
Please watch the water level closely. Hopefully the water level comes down in time to open up other ramps, but if not, make sure to leave plenty of time for getting off the lake and back to the Paris Fairgrounds for the weigh-in.
We expect a great turn-out and hope to see everyone there.
