Winds of Faith

The Promise of Rest
The word says; There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. And it also says there

is no rest for the wicked. (Heb-4-9) A question arises, “What happened to the peaceful days of

Sunday rest of long ago?” Have we got so much to do now that we have to run 24-7? Or have we,

over time, turned away from the Lords Sabbaths and the rest found in them and his salvation for us? Paul's words in Heb 4-2, capture what has happened as he writes; “For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.” He writes; “For we who have believed, do enter that rest.”

(prayer) Lord forgive us for we have worked ourselves into a frazzle and have forgotten and laid back the promise that still remains of entering into that rest you have set aside for us in your salvation and

your sabbaths. (closing question!)
Brothers & Sisters let us once again stir up those good Sunday dinners where God's word was mixed with faith and we entered that rest the Lord Has provided for us.
