Raymond Eugene Karr, 47, of Monroe City, MO passed away at 4:45 pm Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at his home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, March 29, 2021 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Monroe City, MO. Father Greg Oligschlaeger will officiate.

Burial will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Monroe City, MO.

Friends and Family are invited to Raymond's Life Celebration at a visitation that will be Sunday, March 28, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at James O'Donnell Life Celebration Home in Monroe City, MO.

The family is being served by the James O'Donnell Life Celebration Home in Monroe City, MO.

If you plan on attending the visitation of funeral services, please wear a mask and practice all CO-VID 19 physical distancing guidelines.

Raymond was born October 5, 1973, in Hannibal, MO to Earl Mesner Karr and Mary Frances Hubert Karr Durbin.

He was married to Paula Beth Yates on Feb 15, 1997 at Mount Vernon Methodist Church. She survives.

Other survivors include his two Sons, Kody Karr (Dahrea) of Bemidji, MN and Dawson Karr of Monroe City, MO, his mother Mary Frances Durbin (Bill) of Monroe City, MO, three grandchildren, Kade Karr, Caroline Karr and August Karr, one brother Earl Wayne Karr, one sister Tonya Pryor (Kenneth), his father-in-law, Anthony Yates and his two half-brothers, Mike Karr and Brad Karr. Also surviving are numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Raymond was preceded in death by his father, his mother-in-law Nancy Yates and his grandma-in-law, Lucille Redman.

During his high school years and until 1997 Raymond worked for Ren Potterfield Trucking. He later accepted a position with Martin Equipment, specializing in John Deere industrial machinery. Raymond later owned and operated Tri County Tire in Monroe City for five years. All the while Raymond was farming as well to support his family.

Currently Raymond was a full-time farmer. Raymond was an excellent farmer; he loved his cattle and was also a row crop farmer. He was known for his love of John Deere tractors and he loved to tinker, repair, and restore machinery and tractors, often working side by side with his sons on projects in their shop. Deer hunting, the NASCAR racing of Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. and Civil War history were a few of Raymond’s favorites. A wonderful cook, Raymond made the best barbequed chicken, chili and stew for his family and friends. Life’s simple pleasures were most special to Raymond. He loved moments shared with family and friends on the family farm. He especially adored his grandchildren and always looked forward to the moments they shared together.

Raymond was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Monroe City, MO.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary School or Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Pallbearers will be Chad Hays, Jeff Ferry Joe Timbrook, Rodney Yager, Steve DeLaporte, and Steve Karr

Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Albus, Jamie Karr, Ryan Fishback, Skyler Timbrook, Saylor Timbrook, Evan Karr, and Layne Pryor.
