Arrests have been made in connection with the ongoing Missouri Highway Patrol death investigation in Madison.
The events that sparked the investigation happened in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Feb. 19.
Randolph County Sheriff Mark Nichols has confirmed that two individuals are currently being held at the Randolph County Justice Center in connection with said incident:
Jason Lage, Columbia, 32, is being held on a cash-only bond of $40,000. The warrant requests no contact by any means/medium between Lage and the co-defendant. Lage is currently charged with Tampering of Physical Evidence in Felony Prosecution.
Jessica Munoz, Mob-erly, 28, is being held for Hindering Prosecution of Felony. She has a cash-only bond of $25,000
The Missouri State Highway Patrol noted that the investigation is currently ongoing. The only current comment from the Missouri Highway Patrol is – “no comment.”
It was announced that a possible statement about this incident would be forthcoming this week.
